For those of you who are interested in being involved in organising next year's Canterbury Model UN Conference - the Region's largest Model UN event - the form to apply for committee positions can be downloaded from the Canterbury Regional page on the UNYANZ website. Youth Declaration 2011 will be a fully-fledged national flagship for the organisation. To this end, the National Executive is calling for applications to coordinate the event - New Zealand's premier youth policy conference, to be held in Auckland in the first half of 2011.
The coordinator will be supported by a committee, to be appointed in consultation with the coordinator later this year. Further details can be found within the application form.

Want to be involved in UNYANZ's premier Model UN event? That National Executive is calling for applications for the organising committee of the New Zealand Model United Nations 2011, to be held in Wellington 2-5 July 2011.
Past committee members have described the opportunity as a rewarding one. Being part of the committee is a chance to develop valuable event management skills in finances, public relations and education - all while empowering young New Zealanders as global citizens.
NZ Model UN is an established and highly regarded event on school calendars throughout the country. Be a part of making it happen.

So far this year the Mexican Drug War has cost over 2000 lives. At the 2010 Otago University Model Security Council, delegates will be faced with the challenge of tacking this complicated and seemingly endless conflict.
The event will be held on August 7 in the beautiful Staff Club rooms, on the banks of the Leith River in the heart of the University of Otago campus. Registrations costs $30 which covers all food for the day, including a catered lunch at Formosa Delight.

Wellington Universities Model Security Council will be held on the 10th of August, with registrations due by the 3rd of August.
